Leinani Funa

Leinani (pronounced Lay-non-ee) is a passionate kinesiologist dedicated to making movement accessible for everyone. She views herself as a cheerleader in her clients’ rehabilitation journeys, providing encouragement and expert guidance to help them regain confidence and strength.

Leinani earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge in 2014 and has been working in Grande Prairie physiotherapy clinics ever since. In 2017, she completed her Stott Pilates Level 1 Matwork and Reformer courses, achieving certification the following year. She enjoys integrating Pilates principles into her practice, helping clients discover movement strategies that work best for their individual needs.

Outside of the clinic, Leinani is a devoted wife and mother to three children, ages 5 to 10. Her family loves exploring the trails and parks of Grande Prairie, always seeking out new adventures. She also has a deep-rooted passion for rugby, a sport she grew up playing and continues to love—even if she doesn’t get to play as often as she’d like.
